Adding Severities

1. From the SmartSolve Portal Page, click the Home tab.
2. In the Setup and Policy section, click Setup.
3. In the System Wide section, click Severity.
   Result: The Severities window is displayed.
4. Click Action > Add.
   Result: The Severity entry window is displayed.

5. Enter the code for and rank of the new severity.

6. Enter the severity rating of the new severity. The rating severity is a number used in the calculation of points in supplier rating.
7. Check the NC Required checkbox if a nonconformance (NC) will be required and automatically created when this severity is assigned.
8. Check the Allow NC Skip checkbox if an NC assigned this severity can be manually skipped.

9. Click the Save button.
   Result: The new severity has now been added to the severity list.
